Meaning

Glycogen is a complex carbohydrate found in the liver used to store glucose.

About Gylcogen

Glycogen is made in the liver by combining glucose molecules into a chain.
The liver makes glycogen which insulin is released into the blood.
The liver converts glycogen back into glucose when there is glucagon in the blood.
