About Herbivores
Herbivores have large flat teeth or rough pads in their mouths to grind down the plants they eat. Most herbivores are eaten by other animals, so they have to be very careful and run, hide or fight when something wants to eat them.
Examples
A buffalo only eats grass and leaves, making it herbivorous. | A mountain goat is a herbivore that eats the shoots and leaves of bushes in the mountains. |
A sea turtle only eats seaweed, making it a herbivore. | Caterpillars are herbivores that only eat leaves. |
