Offspring are are baby animals.

The offspring of different animals often have different names to their parents.

Some offspring look nothing like the adult animals. For example maggots and flies or tadpoles and frogs.


This is a chicken.	This is the offspring of a chicken called a chick.	This is an adult frog.

The offspring of frog are called tadpoles.	This is a butterfly.	The caterpillar is the offspring of the butterfly.\|-
