Meaning
3-core is an electrical cable containing 3 separate wires.
About 3-Core
- 3-Core contains a live wire, a neutral wire and an Earth wire.
- 3-Core is referred to as double insulted wire because each individual wire is covered in a layer of plastic insulator and the three wires together are covered in another layer of plastic.
The three wires in 3-core are covered in different colour insulators to identify the wires. |
