Meaning
The atria are chambers in the heart where blood enters through veins.
About the Atria
- The heart has two atria. A right atrium and a left atrium
- The right atrium receives deoxygentated blood from the body though a vein called the Vena Cava.
- The left atrium receives oxygentated blood from the lungs though a vein called the pulmonary vein.
