About Fuses

Fuses are a thin piece of wire which is designed to melt when the current through the wire is too large.
Fuses are found inside plugs and are used to reduce the risk caused by a power surge.
The fuse in a plug is connected to the live wire.
This diagram of a plug shows the location of the fuse.
