Meaning

A motor neuron is a specialsed cell in the nervous system which transmits an electrical impulse sent from the central nervous system.

About Motor Neurons

Motor neurons transmit the electrical impulse from the relay neurons in the spinal cord to effectors such as muscles or glands.
The motor neuron receives an electrical impulse from the relay neuron. The impulse passes into the dendrites, through the cell body, down the axon and to the synapse where the motor neuron connects to an effector (a muscle or a gland).
