Do not get an electrical appliance wet. Never put too many plugs in one socket. When there is too much electricity the wires get hot and can catch on fire. Always make sure the socket is switched off before you plug or unplug any electrical appliance.

Always have a way to switch the electricity off in case something goes wrong. Don't get your wires tangled or you might not know which wire you're adding or where.

Never plug a cell back into itself. It will 'short circuit' and can get so hot it causes a fire. Report any strange smell to an adult straight away. When electrical components get too hot you can smell something has gone wrong.
