Meaning
Respiration is the process of releasing energy from food molecules.
About Respiration
- Respiration can be Aerobic Respiration, requiring Oxygen, or Anaerobic Respiration which can take place in the absence of Oxygen.
- In eukaryotic cells respiration takes place in the mitochonria.
- In prokaryotic cells respiration takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell.
