About Decomposition
- Decomposition is carried out by micro-organisms called decomposers.
- Decomposition of dead organism releases Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere.
- Decomposition is an essential stage in the Carbon Cycle and Nitrogen Cycle as well as the recycling of other nutrients as it makes those nutrients available for plants to use.
