Meaning

Surface area is the total area of a surface if it were stretched into a flat plane.

About Surface Area

The surface area of different 3d shapes is different even if they have the same volume.
The surface area of an tissue affects how quickly it can absorb chemicals.
The surface area of a solid reactant affects how quickly it can react.

Meaning
