Meaning

Gravitropism is a growth response in plants in which their growth responds to the direction of gravity.

About Gravitropism

Gravitropism can be positive or negative.
In the shoot system of plants the growth is due to negative where the shoots grow up from the ground.
In the root system of plants the growth is due to positive where the roots grow down deeper into the ground.
