Meaning

A renewable energy resource is an energy resource that can be replaced within a lifetime.

Renewable Energy Resources

Being replaced does not mean being re-used. Trees are a renewable energy resource because they can be burned and then replaced with new trees, but you cannot re-use them because you can't burn the same tree twice.
