The Dalton Model is a model of the atom which shows atoms as a ball shaped object.
About The Dalton Model
- The Dalton Model is a simple model of the atom which makes it easier to use the Particle Model to explain the States of Matter and to represent molecules.
- The Dalton Model is not true, but is a useful model to help describe atoms.

The Dalton Model is a model of the atom which shows atoms as a spherical object.
About the Dalton Model
- The Dalton Model was the first and simplest model of an atom and was proposed by John Dalton to explain the fact that chemical reactions needed specific proportions of reactants to react completely.
- The existence of the atom was further backed up by evidence from Brownian Motion in which small visible particles appear to move randomly because they are being hit by smaller invisible particles.
- The Dalton Model was replaced by the Plum Pudding Model following the discovery of the electron by J.J. Thompson.
